I’m a landscape photographer who lives in Harrogate! I grew up in nearby Ripon and have lived in the area for most of my life, apart from a few brief spells in Leeds and London. I took up landscape photography in September 2020 after having never showed an interest in either photography or landscapes ever. Like a lot of people, the boredom of Covid lockdown really set in by this time so I thought I’d take up an outdoor hobby to both pass the time and provide an excuse to get some fresh air.

Before I took up photography, I was never one for the outdoors. The only time I took trips out into the countryside was when there was the promise of a country pub at the end of it. Most of the places in my photographs I didn’t know existed until I googled ‘best places in Yorkshire to take photographs of’. Since then, I’ve been chasing sunsets and rises all over the county, putting in many early starts in search of perfect shooting conditions.
